As an engineer you need to know what sort of corrosion damage is taking place, if a metal structure is strong enough to do its required task and if the corrosion protection in place is working as it should. Dagger Diving Services are here to help you. Our dive team are certified by the Certification Scheme for Weld Inspection (CSWIP) up to 3.2u level. What does this mean for you? This means we can provide you with ultrasonic thickness measurements of metal structures using calibrated meters, visually inspect subsea welds for integrity and overall condition, conduct magnetic particle inspection (MPI) of welds for cracking, and measure the effectiveness of your corrosion prevention system using bathycorrometers. This can save you time and money and also give you peace of mind, knowing the true state of whatever metal structure you are working with. Perhaps you need to know how much sheet piles have corroded on a sea wall or if the welds of a brace that has been under the sea for years is still up to the task of load bearing.
